Introduction to Pilates
 

Curious about Pilates but unsure if it’s the right fit for you? Our FREE Introduction to Pilates Workshop is a friendly, no-commitment session designed to introduce you to the basics in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Why Join?  
This workshop is perfect for you if you’ve ever thought:  


–  ‘I’m not flexible enough for Pilates!’—Pilates is for all flexibility levels, and we start at a pace that’s just right for you.


– ‘I have back pain/old injuries; is it safe?’— I’m not a physiotherapist, so if you are not cleared to exercise, you will not be able to participate. However, the most common orthopaedic conditions and injuries are covered by Pilates. I’ll cover modifications/adaptations and layers and show you how Pilates can support your body’s unique needs.


 ‘I’m totally new to this; will I be lost?’—This session is designed for beginners, and we’ll go step-by-step, introducing you to the fundamental principles, which even if you choose not to continue, will improve your technique at the gym or anywhere else.


 ‘I’m too busy to commit to regular classes.’—This intro session is just 60 minutes, no strings attached—just come as you are and enjoy! Besides… We don’t do subscriptions or block booking either.

– Yoga or Pilates mat is needed. If you don’t have one, please contact us at office@pilatesflow.uk to reserve a mat. We only have a few spares!

FEETness: From the Ground Up

A healthy posture starts with your feet

We spend our lives standing, walking, carrying… yet our feet are often the most overlooked part of the body.

In this session, we’ll bring your feet back to life.

Through simple, practical movements, you’ll wake up muscles that may have been inactive for years—restoring strength, mobility, and awareness from the ground up. As your feet begin to function better, you may notice improved balance, a stronger connection to your body, and greater stability in everyday movement.

You’ll leave not only feeling lighter and more grounded, but with a short, effective routine to support your feet daily.

Because you can’t build a strong, resilient body on an unstable foundation.

For this session, you will be barefoot or bring toe socks. 

 

Pilates with Resistance (Anna)

Build strength, control, and confidence

This session brings a strength-focused approach to Pilates, using resistance to help you build functional strength and power in a safe and supportive way.

You’ll be guided to move with control and awareness, developing strength that supports your everyday life—not just your workouts.

 Forest Bathing / Guided Nature Walk

Slow down and reconnect with nature

We’ll step outside into the private ancient forest for a gentle, mindful walk.

This is not a hike or anything strenuous—it’s an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature through your senses. Expect to feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded.

If the weather isn’t on our side, we’ll bring the experience indoors with a Pilates walk session, focusing on mindful, intentional walking patterns and posture.

 Afternoon Reset: Stretch, Breathe, Let Go

We’ve created a calm and nurturing afternoon flow to help you release tension, restore your body, and fully switch off 

 Stretch & Mobilise Workshop with Kat Hill
(Osteopath, Reformer & Advanced Yoga Teacher)

A gentle, guided session focused on lengthening the body and improving mobility. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more open, and at ease.

 Breathwork for Nervous System Reset

We’ll then transition into a calming breathwork practice to support nervous system regulation—helping you slow down and bring your body back into balance.

This is your space to pause, breathe, and truly look after yourself 

 Nourishment

Please bring your own packed lunch—this allows you to enjoy food you truly like and that works for your body.

We’ll provide fruit, nuts, and bliss balls for you to enjoy throughout the day.
